answered here, please fill out the form below.
We will compile the questions and if yours is one
that is asked frequently it will be listed here.
Otherwise, it will be answered privately.
Here are the most frequently asked questions we have
received to date.
Q.
What is the length of the classes - How many weeks?
A. A semester runs for
six (6) weeks and includes six (6) lessons. A lesson is
posted every Sunday and you have the entire week to
complete it.
Q.
Does Eclectic Academy offer degrees?
A.
No, to offer degrees would involve extensive
administrative costs, accreditation and longer more
intensive courses. Then, the cost would rise
dramatically. If you are seeking a college degree or
college credits we suggest you check your local colleges
to see if they offer courses on line.
Q.
How does one take the class? Are they taught via email,
telephone or what?
A.
The lessons are posted online every Sunday. Each class
has a private message board where you can talk to your
classmates, ask questions regarding the lesson or post
links to your homework assignments. Your instructor will
be monitoring the message board and be able to help you
if you run into any problems. Some instructors may
choose to have online chats as well. This will vary with
the class.
Q.
What time are the classes and do I need to be online at
a certain time?
A.
Classes do not have a specific time. That is what is so
great about online learning! The class is there when you
are ready for it. You simply access your classroom and
do the lesson when you have time.
Q.
What is the price range of your courses?
A.
All classes at Eclectic Academy are the same price -
only $20.00 per class per semester. So, if you were to
take two classes, your total cost would be $40.00.
Q.
Can people from the United Kingdom take classes?
A.
Yes, as long as you have a Visa, MasterCard or Paypal
account to pay for the classes anyone anywhere can take
the classes.
Q. My
work schedule varies from week to week. How much time
per week would I need to spend before the next class is
posted? If I'm away, what do I do about that class? And,
is there a specific time span that the class needs to be
finished in?
A.
The time needed depends on the class being taken, but
you can figure on a couple hours per lesson. Once a
class is posted it remains active and available to you
for the duration of the semester so if you miss a week,
you can pick it up when you return. Classes remain live
for one week after the last lesson is posted. Then,
everything is removed to prepare for the next semester.
Q. Do
you answer questions during the class, or after class?
A.
Each class has its own message board. You can ask
questions there whenever you need to. The instructors
monitor the boards and answer any questions asked.
Sometime, you will also get help from other students.
Q. Do
I have to buy extra books or is the given material
enough?
A.
There are never any extra charges for books or other
software. The courses are complete in themselves.
Sometimes, an instructor will recommend books or
products but they are not required to take the course.
